Collaborative Research Center SFB/Transregio 10

The SFB/Transregio 10 is a collaborative research center funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). It was established in 2003 and will run until 2014. The project is located at TU Dortmund University, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and TU München.

The major goal of the SFB/Transregio 10 is the development of scientific fundamentals and methods for the design of integrated process chains for an automated and product-flexible batch production of light space frame structures.

Gesamtverband der Aluminiumindustrie e.V. (GDA) with headquarters in Düsseldorf, Germany, was established in its current form in 1992 in Dresden. It is an association of aluminium companies that produce raw aluminium or aluminium products, including composites with other materials. As an industrial sector association, GDA represents the interests of an efficient aluminium industry and the jobs it offers with the aim of:

  • conveying the economic, ecological and technical benefits of aluminium,
  • implementing the ecological, economic and social aims of the aluminium
  • continuing determinedly to pursue the implementation of sustainable

    International Impulse Forming Group - I²FG

    The basic idea of the International Impulse Forming Group (I²FG) is the promotion of science and research in the field of impulse forming and to encourage the international cooperation in this area. By providing and spreading procedural knowledge, the I²FG shall contribute to an increase in the level of awareness of the physical phenomena, of the engineering process design and technologies and shall help to promote their technical application.
